In this message from our Because He Lives series, Because He Lives… We Are Made New, we explored what it means to be a new creation in Christ. Because of Jesus’ death and resurrection, our identity is no longer defined by our past, our failures, or the labels we’ve carried—we are made new. This isn’t just a future promise, but a present reality that reshapes how we see ourselves and how we live.
This sermon invited us to recognize the ways we can drift back into old identities—through familiarity, shame, lingering voices, or simply not knowing how to live differently—and to anchor ourselves again in what is true. Because He lives, we don’t have to return to who we were. We can walk forward in the new life He has already given.
