At Hillside, we love our Sunday mornings—but this summer, we’re making room for even more connection, sunshine, and laid-back fun! You’re invited to join us for a few casual times where we can just be together—no agenda, no pressure, just good times with great people.

One of our favourite Summer Connect traditions is making a return: Company’s Coming!

Company’s Coming is a simple and fun way to connect with people from our church family around a shared meal. The idea is straightforward: some people open their homes, others bring a dish to share, and together we enjoy an evening of food, conversation, laughter, and connection.

If you sign up as a host, you'll prepare the main course and provide the beverages. If you sign up as a guest, you'll be assigned a dish to bring—such as an appetizer, salad, side, or dessert. A few days before the event, guests will receive the address of their host, and hosts will receive information about how many people to expect and what dishes are being brought.

The fun twist? You won't know exactly who you'll be sharing the evening with until everyone arrives. It's a wonderful opportunity to meet new people, strengthen existing friendships, and enjoy the kind of community that happens when we gather around a table together.

The menu can be simple, the house doesn't need to be perfect, and there's no pressure to impress. The goal isn't entertaining—it's connecting.
